Movie Review: Clash Of The Titans - Titanic Disappointment

Clash Of The Titans 2010
Starring: Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, That Australian Guy From Avatar

I must say going into this movie I wasn't expecting a serious epic film. I was looking for some good action a decent story and some nice special effects. Even with those expectations going in to this movie after the first scene you can tell that this movie is going to disappoint on most counts. Instead of a story we get more of an excuse to get to the next action sequence. As we enter the movie the world of man is at war with the world of the gods. Why? No one in the movie seems to know for sure. Many other things happen that  are never fully explained. Maybe they were trying to stay faithful to the original but I've never seen it and based on this movie I probably won't be seeing it anytime soon.

Our hero Perseus played by That Australian Guy From Avatar is a half-man half-god but zero personality. He walks and runs and does his best with the terribly wooden lines given to him.  Ralph Fiennes is a fine actor but a terrible choice for a villain his character Hades the evil brother of Zeus comes off more as a comical old man than a true villain.  Liam Neeson almost pulls off the character Zeus who is a god but is as flawed as any human.

The special effects and fight scenes in the movie are pretty good although it still seems a little silly to see a guy flying on a winged horse. There is no true battle with the Kraken which is kind of a disappointment since they keep talking about throughout the movie. I began to look forward to it while waiting for the scenes with dialogue to end. Overall skip this movie it is not worth the time or money. You can buy Clsh Of The Titans from our DVD shop.

You have a good eye more movie reviews. I would argue with you that even the special effects weren't great. The Kraken looked like so much we've seen before, the scorpions just looked awful (and even worse because of the so-called 3D). The only thing that really impressed me was Medusa.

In my opinion the original was the best. This doesn't have all those qualities like soul, humor, beauty, romance and beauty. This one is full of darkness and just a waste of money and time.
